Who we are and customer support
VetAmadora is the trading name of Clínica veterinária Dr Carlos Galrão Lda, tax number 510 706 860. Contact: Estrada Salvador Allende, 3C, Amadora; geral@vetamadora.pt; +351 214 960 029 (Portuguese landline).
These details come from the clinic website and must be confirmed as the selling entity before launch.
Products, prices and orders
This is a demonstration catalogue. Euro prices include VAT but remain provisional; listing a product does not confirm stock. The Royal Canin range and supplier availability are still being validated. The basket in this version only lets you try selecting products.
In the selling version, customers must be able to review products, quantities, taxes, delivery and the total before committing to payment. Payment methods and the point of order confirmation will be defined before launch.
Delivery and clinic collection
Carriers, destinations, rates, delivery times and clinic collection await confirmation. When items ship from several origins, parcels and their costs will be shown before payment. This demo does not promise free shipping, consolidated delivery or fixed delivery times.
The seller will provide customer support even when a supplier ships the goods. Customers will not have to manage contracts between the shop and carriers.
Returns and withdrawal
For online purchases covered by the law, consumers can notify withdrawal within 14 days of receiving the goods; for an order delivered separately, this starts with the last item. Goods must then be returned within 14 days of notification.
Refunds include standard delivery and are due within 14 days of notification, but may await the goods or proof of return. Consumers bear direct return costs only when informed beforehand. Handling beyond what is needed to inspect a product may result in liability for diminished value.
Exceptions depend on the product, such as personalised or rapidly perishable goods, or sealed goods unsuitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once opened. Pet food and veterinary products are not automatically all excluded. Rights concerning faulty goods remain.
How to request a return
Send a clear statement to geral@vetamadora.pt. You may use: “I wish to withdraw from the purchase of these items: […]. Order number […], ordered on […] and received on […]. Name: […]. Address: […]. Date: […].” Sign if sending on paper. This template is optional.
The operational returns address will be confirmed before launch. Contact the team for instructions; this does not limit statutory periods or rights.
Guarantees and faulty goods
Portuguese Decree-Law 84/2021 applies: for new movable goods, liability for non-conformity generally covers three years after delivery. Depending on the legal conditions, remedies include repair or replacement, a price reduction or termination.
Contact the clinic with purchase details and a description of the problem. This period is not a food expiry date and does not remove the need for correct storage. Rights concerning faulty products are not excluded by product category.
Customer accounts, privacy and clinical care
Shopify provides the shop account. Email and a verification code allow customers to create a profile and view purchases. A shop account does not replace the animal’s clinical record; creating one is not marketing consent.
See our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. Shop-specific data-processing information will be completed before launch.
Guides and products do not replace veterinary assessment. Appointment requests require confirmation; clinical care has its own assessment and conditions.
Complaints and dispute resolution
You can use the Electronic Complaints Book as well as contacting the clinic.
For consumer disputes in the Amadora area, consult the Lisbon Consumer Arbitration Centre, subject to its jurisdiction rules. This reference does not claim voluntary membership by the clinic. Legal complaint and redress options remain available.
